After reading earlier reviews I bought these speakers with the Sony CDX-GT630UI MP3/WMA/AAC Compliant CD Receiver with iPod Direct Control via USB. I can only say that the combo sound great. I put some cheapo 3-ways 6x9 in the back and these in the doors. The rear speakers sound OK but these sound great! I hear a small difference with my son's two-AMP $1000 system but he has a sub so gets the "bang bang" which I don't want anyway. I may have gotten lucky with the match of head unit to speaker but these sounds so much better thatn the factory system. I even used the factory wire which I thought may effect the sound quality but doesn't seem to have.

Purchased these for a 2003 Mitsubishi Montero Sport that had blown speakers. (Note: The Mitsubishi has 6.75" speakers from the factory, so you will have to fabricate an adapter plate for these to fit.)
So far the speakers sound great. Are they audiophile quality?...No, but you would be hard pressed to find a better speaker for the money. These speakers have decent mids and better than expected highs when driven from the factory stereo. I haven't cranked the volume to find exactly where they distort. Great replacement for cheap factory speakers.

I'm not much of an audiophile and needed cheap replacement speakers for my beater car to drown out the engine noises. I knew I was buying cheap and wasn't expecting much, but these are not worth the price paid. The connections are very weak, and non-standard size, so I had to splice on a standard size set onto the wires thinner than a politician's excuses. Oh well, at least they work.
