The new mount appears, feels, and acts as if it is of a stronger version or design. The option of having two places to mount the receiver for the fish finder is also a nice addition, as now a person can use it in different positions according to what it is being mounted to.

I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THE MOUNTING BRACKET.
IT IS BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL BRACKET BECAUSE THERE ARE SNAPS THAT HOLD IT IN PLACE ON THE FISH FINDER. THE ORIGINAL ONE DID NOT HAVE THE SNAPS AND WENT FOR A SWIM TO DAVY JONES LOCKER.
