I bought these to replace the dash speakers on my 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee and they deliver really good highs. The speakers are amazingly clear with no distortion on high volume levels.

I listen to rock, hip hop, country, R&B, Pop, Jazz, Blues and it feels as though I'm in the front seat of a concert.

Great buy for the price to upgrade dash speakers.

Note. The installation process for Jeep Grand Cherokee required me to use a Dremel tool to cut a plastic lip so the speakers mounted flush.

I bought these 3-1/2" speakers thinking they would be as good as the 6" x 9" Clarions I bought...they aren't. I know they are not designed to produce bass, but are meant to enhance the upper frequencies. After one month, both started making unnatural buzzing sounds that even my tone deaf wife heard. They were not driven by an amplifier and have not been played loud either. It's possible that Clarion should have included some 200 uf capacitors to help block lower frequencies thus protecting the speakers....the Polk Audio 3-1/2" speakers I bought to replace these Clarions had the capacitors included in the box.
